Siete Misterios Mezcal Doba-Yej

Siete Misterios Mezcal Doba-Yej is an artisanal mezcal crafted in Oaxaca, Mexico, from 100% Espadín agave (Agave angustifolia). The name "Doba-Yej" is Zapotec for Espadín, reflecting the brand's commitment to honoring local traditions. This expression marks a departure from Siete Misterios' typical clay pot distillation, as it is their first mezcal distilled in copper stills, offering a distinct flavor profile while maintaining artisanal production methods. The agave is roasted in earthen pits, milled with a tahona, fermented in wooden vats, and double-distilled in copper stills, resulting in a mezcal bottled at 44% ABV. 

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Aromatic blend of citrus fruits like lemon, lime, and grapefruit, complemented by floral notes of violet and hints of sweet toasted caramel and cooked agave. 

• Palate: Light and smooth with earthy and floral flavors, leading to a long finish characterized by the char of the agave and a touch of roasted meat. 

• Finish: Long and spicy, leaving a lasting impression with its balanced profile.
