Santaleza Reposado

Santaleza Reposado Tequila is crafted by one of the oldest tequila families in Mexico, the Lopez-Villareal family (of San Matias fame). It is produced at the Bonanza Distillery (NOM 1604) in the Jalisco Highlands. Santaleza emphasizes traditional methods, using 100% mature Blue Weber agave that is slow-cooked in a small masonry oven with steam from local springs for 72 hours. The agave is milled using a mechanical donkey named "Pepe." Fermentation occurs naturally in local Roble wood vats with mountain spring water. The tequila is double-distilled in copper alembic stills and aged in used American oak barrels for a minimum of four months. Santaleza prides itself on being additive-free.

Tasting Notes:

• Aroma: Often features a prominent sweet cooked agave note, accompanied by vanilla, caramel, and oak scents. Citrus notes, particularly orange, are frequently detected, along with a floral component, earthy and mineral undertones, and hints of cinnamon and baking spices. Some also note almond and fruity aromas.
• Palate: Expect sweet cooked agave flavors upfront, followed by spicy cinnamon and baking spices. Vanilla, orange citrus, caramel, and oak notes are present. Some tasters also find black pepper, earthiness, floral notes, and a touch of fruit and almond. The texture is often described as buttery and coating.
• Finish: The finish is generally medium in length, with the sweet agave and cinnamon flavors lingering, often accompanied by vanilla and orange citrus notes. Some describe it as smooth and creamy with a touch of salted caramel.

Order Processing:

Adult Signature Requirement:
In compliance with federal law, all shipments containing alcohol require an adult signature (21 years or older) upon delivery. If no eligible person is available to sign for the delivery, the carrier will hold the package and attempt delivery on the next business day. A total of three delivery attempts will be made.

Carrier Warehouse Hold:
If delivery fails after three attempts, the package will be held at the carrier’s warehouse for up to 48 hours. During this time, the recipient is responsible for arranging pickup. If the package is not retrieved within the holding period, it will be returned to us.

Reshipment and Additional Costs:
If a package is returned due to failed delivery attempts or failure to collect the package from the warehouse, you will be responsible for the cost of reshipment. Bottles2Gift.com is not responsible for additional shipping fees incurred due to reshipment.

Shipping Restrictions:
Please be aware that we do not ship to P.O. Boxes or any location where alcohol delivery is prohibited by law. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with local shipping regulations prior to placing an order.
