Peloton de la Muerte Espadin Artisanal Mezcal

Pelotón de la Muerte Mezcal Joven is an artisanal mezcal crafted by maestro mezcalero Cutberto Santiago and his family in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, Mexico. This expression is made from 100% Espadín agave (Agave angustifolia), cooked in traditional stone pit ovens, fermented with wild yeast, and double-distilled in copper pot stills. Bottled unaged (joven) at 41% ABV, it offers a balanced profile suitable for both sipping and cocktails. 

Tasting Notes:

• Aroma: Tropical fruit notes, particularly kiwi, complemented by lemon zest, dried green peppercorn, and a hint of soft smoke. 

• Palate: Smooth entry with flavors of ripe agave, subtle caramel, and a touch of citrus, leading to a gentle smoky finish.

• Finish: Clean and lively, with lingering notes of agave and light smoke. 

This mezcal is versatile, making it an excellent choice for classic cocktails like the Paloma or Tommy's Margarita, as well as for enjoying neat.
