This is the second release in the Nosotros Madera collection. It's an Añejo tequila that has undergone an extended aging process of 20 months. What truly distinguishes it is its maturation in wet cider barrels. These barrels were previously used to produce 2 Towns Ciderhouse's "Bad Apple" cider and Woodford Reserve Bourbon whiskey. Only 1500 individually numbered bottles of this expression were produced. It is presented in a meticulously crafted handmade wooden box, making it a highly collectible item.
Tasting Notes:
- Aroma: A captivating blend of cooked agave and warm apple, complemented by notes of spicy sandalwood and nutty almond.
- Palate: A harmonious fusion of cooked agave and apple, with subtle hints of oak and spice from the bourbon barrels.
- Finish: Lingering notes of spicy sandalwood and nutty almond.
Awards: While specific awards for the Nosotros Madera Añejo Cider were not immediately available, the Nosotros Madera Añejo (aged in white oak barrels for a shorter period) was awarded a Gold Medal from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition following its launch. This suggests a high standard of quality within the Madera collection.
The unique and innovative aging process of the Añejo Cider makes it a particularly interesting and likely well-regarded spirit among tequila enthusiasts and collectors.
