Larressingle XO Armagnac

Larressingle XO is a mature Armagnac from the historic Gascony producer known for its traditional style. Aged well beyond the 10-year minimum XO requirement, this 80 proof (40% ABV) expression offers deep complexity, smooth integration of oak, and distinct rancio characteristics developed over years of maturation.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Richly complex, unveiling layers of dark dried fruits (prunes, figs, dates), candied orange peel, deep caramel, vanilla bean, toasted oak, and intricate baking spices (cinnamon, clove). Mature notes of leather, pipe tobacco, toasted walnuts, and pronounced earthy/nutty rancio add significant depth.
• Palate: Full-bodied, smooth, and well-rounded. Flavors of stewed prunes, fig jam, dark caramel, and vanilla pod are seamlessly integrated with complex spice, supple oak tannins, hints of espresso, dark chocolate, and distinct leather notes. The characteristic savory rancio provides a mature backbone.
