Lagavulin 11 Year Offerman Edition Finished In Guinness Casks Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This 11-year-old Lagavulin Islay single malt is the second limited edition release born from the collaboration between the distillery and actor Nick Offerman. Following initial maturation, the whisky is finished for approximately four months in casks that previously held Guinness beer from the Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore, Maryland. This unique finish marries Lagavulin's intense peat smoke and maritime character with notes derived from the stout-seasoned wood, bottled at 46% ABV.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Intense Lagavulin peat smoke leads, accompanied by maritime brine/sea breeze, underlying sweetness (caramel/vanilla), and distinct notes of roasted coffee or dark chocolate from the Guinness cask.
• Palate: Robust peat smoke continues, layered with flavors of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, vanilla, and perhaps a hint of chili spice or caramelized sweetness. A slight malty or creamy character may be present.
• Finish: Long and warming, with lingering peat smoke, dry cocoa or coffee notes, and perhaps a touch of salted caramel.
