Komos Xo Extra Anejo Tequilla

Komos XO Extra Añejo Tequila represents the pinnacle of the Komos collection, a truly exceptional and ultra-premium spirit. Crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave, hand-harvested from the highlands and lowlands of Jalisco, the production process mirrors the meticulous standards of the rest of the Komos range. The piñas are roasted in traditional stone ovens, naturally fermented, and double-distilled in copper pot stills. This tequila undergoes an extensive and unique aging process. It is first aged for a significant period in French oak white wine barrels and American oak whiskey barrels, typical of their Extra Añejo. However, the XO takes this further with a final aging or finishing in rare Spanish Sherry casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez wine. This final maturation imparts a distinctive sweetness and complexity. Like other Komos expressions, it benefits from gentle aeration. It is presented in a striking, handmade opaque black ceramic bottle.  

Tasting Notes:

• Aroma: An incredibly complex and inviting bouquet featuring rich notes of dark fruit (raisins, figs), toffee, and vanilla, layered with the signature Komos toasted nut and sweet agave notes. The Pedro Ximénez sherry cask influence brings forward aromas of dried fig, date, and a hint of molasses. Expect warm spices like cinnamon and clove, along with subtle chocolate undertones.   
• Palate: Exceptionally smooth and full-bodied, with a luxurious mouthfeel. The initial sweetness of cooked agave and vanilla is beautifully complemented by the rich, dark fruit character from the sherry casks. Flavors of toffee, caramel, and dark chocolate mingle with notes of fig, date, and a hint of spice. The oak influence is significant but well-integrated, providing structure without overpowering the other nuanced flavors.  
• Finish: Exceedingly long, warm, and elegant, with a lingering sweetness from the sherry and the rich complexity of the aged tequila. Expect the dark fruit and spice notes to persist, leaving a memorable and satisfying finish.

Order Processing:
All in-stock items will be shipped within 1-2 business days from the date of order confirmation. Special order items or products not currently in stock may require additional processing time. You will be notified via email if any delays are expected with your order.

Adult Signature Requirement:
In compliance with federal law, all shipments containing alcohol require an adult signature (21 years or older) upon delivery. If no eligible person is available to sign for the delivery, the carrier will hold the package and attempt delivery on the next business day. A total of three delivery attempts will be made.

Carrier Warehouse Hold:
If delivery fails after three attempts, the package will be held at the carrier’s warehouse for up to 48 hours. During this time, the recipient is responsible for arranging pickup. If the package is not retrieved within the holding period, it will be returned to us.

Reshipment and Additional Costs:
If a package is returned due to failed delivery attempts or failure to collect the package from the warehouse, you will be responsible for the cost of reshipment. Bottles2Gift.com is not responsible for additional shipping fees incurred due to reshipment.

Shipping Restrictions:
Please be aware that we do not ship to P.O. Boxes or any location where alcohol delivery is prohibited by law. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with local shipping regulations prior to placing an order.

Damaged Shipments:
If your order arrives damaged or broken, please contact our customer service team immediately to report the issue. We will work with you to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
