• Description: Clonakilty Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey Batch No. 1 is the inaugural release of their own distilled spirit from Clonakilty Distillery, which began distilling in 2019. This whiskey is crafted from 100% Cork-grown barley (a mix of malted and unmalted), triple-distilled in copper pot stills at their distillery, and matured in their Atlantic Ocean warehouse. Batch No. 1 is a marriage of whiskeys matured in ex-Bourbon, Amontillado sherry, and Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV.   

• Awards and Ratings:

  • Clonakilty's new make Single Pot Still spirit, the precursor to this release, was named World's Best Irish New Make Single Pot Still at the World Whiskies Awards in 2020.
  • The release of Batch No. 1 marks a significant milestone for the distillery, and it has generally been well-received as a promising first release of their own-make single pot still whiskey.

• Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Vanilla sweetness leads to hints of demerara sugar, citrus peel, and kiwi. Some detect notes of salted caramel, toffee apples, and a briny note.   
  • Palate: Vanilla, caramelized pear and apple give way to a gentle wood spice, dark chocolate, and orange. Some find a creamy mouthfeel with fruit and caramel flavors, along with a medium spice.   
  • Finish: Medium to long and enjoyable, with lingering spice heat, caramel, orchard fruit sweetness, and a little saltiness. Some note a finish of dark chocolate and orange.

Order Processing:
All in-stock items will be shipped within 1-2 business days from the date of order confirmation. Special order items or products not currently in stock may require additional processing time. You will be notified via email if any delays are expected with your order.

Adult Signature Requirement:
In compliance with federal law, all shipments containing alcohol require an adult signature (21 years or older) upon delivery. If no eligible person is available to sign for the delivery, the carrier will hold the package and attempt delivery on the next business day. A total of three delivery attempts will be made.

Carrier Warehouse Hold:
If delivery fails after three attempts, the package will be held at the carrier’s warehouse for up to 48 hours. During this time, the recipient is responsible for arranging pickup. If the package is not retrieved within the holding period, it will be returned to us.

Reshipment and Additional Costs:
If a package is returned due to failed delivery attempts or failure to collect the package from the warehouse, you will be responsible for the cost of reshipment. Bottles2Gift.com is not responsible for additional shipping fees incurred due to reshipment.

Shipping Restrictions:
Please be aware that we do not ship to P.O. Boxes or any location where alcohol delivery is prohibited by law. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with local shipping regulations prior to placing an order.

Damaged Shipments:
