Considered the flagship single malt from the Benromach Distillery in Speyside. It represents the distillery's commitment to crafting a classic Speyside character with a subtle smoky influence, reminiscent of whiskies from a bygone era. This expression is matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels (approximately 80%) and first-fill sherry casks (approximately 20%) for nine years, before being finished for a final year in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. This maturation process imparts a balanced complexity and depth to the whisky.  

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The aroma offers a rich sherry influence with notes of fruit and nut chocolate and delicate spice, particularly cinnamon. Fresh green apples and a malty, digestive biscuit note are present, with a subtle hint of peat smoke in the background. Some detect dry barley, oak, dry pine, and a touch of prune and maple fudge.   
• Palate: The palate is smooth with flavors of malted cereal and stewed fruit combining with warm toffee and a hint of black cherry. Notes of raspberries, citrus, and tropical fruits with a touch of smoky oak are also commonly described. Some find it slightly herbal with a grassy character and a touch of ground ginger.   
• Finish: The finish is full-bodied and smooth, with lingering warm spice and a gentle smokiness. Notes of ginger, dry sherry, and sometimes a slightly hoppy or bittersweet sensation are also noted.

• Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (2024).
• Gold Medal at the World Whiskies Awards (Best Speyside Single Malt - 12 Years and Under in 2014).

Adult Signature Requirement:
In compliance with federal law, all shipments containing alcohol require an adult signature (21 years or older) upon delivery. If no eligible person is available to sign for the delivery, the carrier will hold the package and attempt delivery on the next business day. A total of three delivery attempts will be made.

Carrier Warehouse Hold:
If delivery fails after three attempts, the package will be held at the carrier’s warehouse for up to 48 hours. During this time, the recipient is responsible for arranging pickup. If the package is not retrieved within the holding period, it will be returned to us.

Reshipment and Additional Costs:
If a package is returned due to failed delivery attempts or failure to collect the package from the warehouse, you will be responsible for the cost of reshipment. Bottles2Gift.com is not responsible for additional shipping fees incurred due to reshipment.

Shipping Restrictions:
Please be aware that we do not ship to P.O. Boxes or any location where alcohol delivery is prohibited by law. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with local shipping regulations prior to placing an order.
