The Glenlivet 15 Year Old gains its distinctively rich and exotic character through a process called "selective maturation." While maturing for 15 years, a portion of the spirit is transferred into new French Limousin Oak casks for a period. This specific type of oak, often used for maturing fine wines and Cognacs, is known for its low density, allowing the whisky to penetrate deeper and interact more intensely with the wood. This imparts a unique spiciness and complexity to the classic smooth, fruity Glenlivet profile.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Creamy, rich, and buttery aromas, often with notes of sweet fruit (like apple crumble or ripe pear), fudge, and hints of sweet spice.
  • Palate: Full-bodied and rich texture. Flavors of fruit and nuts (like sweet almonds or hazelnuts) emerge, alongside winter spices such as cinnamon and cloves, vanilla, and a noticeable but well-integrated spicy oak character from the French oak.
  • Finish: Long, lingering, and warming, often with a dry spiciness (peppery notes) balanced by sweet almond and hints of oak.

Order Processing:

Adult Signature Requirement:
In compliance with federal law, all shipments containing alcohol require an adult signature (21 years or older) upon delivery. If no eligible person is available to sign for the delivery, the carrier will hold the package and attempt delivery on the next business day. A total of three delivery attempts will be made.

Carrier Warehouse Hold:
If delivery fails after three attempts, the package will be held at the carrier’s warehouse for up to 48 hours. During this time, the recipient is responsible for arranging pickup. If the package is not retrieved within the holding period, it will be returned to us.

Reshipment and Additional Costs:
If a package is returned due to failed delivery attempts or failure to collect the package from the warehouse, you will be responsible for the cost of reshipment. Bottles2Gift.com is not responsible for additional shipping fees incurred due to reshipment.

Shipping Restrictions:
Please be aware that we do not ship to P.O. Boxes or any location where alcohol delivery is prohibited by law. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with local shipping regulations prior to placing an order.

Damaged Shipments:
If your order arrives damaged or broken, please contact our customer service team immediately to report the issue. We will work with you to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
